Spirit Horses of Montana

 Spirit Horses of Montana was created in 2003. We started working with veterans and children informally. The work was so successful that the Center for Mental Health in Helena contracted for services for two years. We worked with clients who were severely emotionally disturbed ex-convicts. Spirit Horses moved its operations to Ulm, Montana in the fall of 2012. With the creation of its medicine horse labyrinth, Spirit Horses added a new component to its work with anyone suffering from PTSD, TBI and all other stress related illness.

Spirit Horses offers a variety of clinics and special events throughout the year addressing the needs of our diverse clientele. We are open to opportunities for growth and learning. We’re here for you.

Labyrinth

The labyrinth is an ancient healing tool. Hopi Indians used it, as did the ancient people on the island of Crete. Many hospitals around the county are using labyrinths to relieve stress for doctors, nurses, and patients.

Emotional therapy

Equine assisted activity is being successfully used to improve mental and behavioral health, including those with depression, post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, addiction, and behavioral challenges.
